We have not covered these elements such as Change Management and Version Control, to name but a few, but further information can be supplied once we have established your requirements.

We will touch on a few basic points below which we believe are important factors in supplying a quality service:

• Identify and obtain a clear understanding of the nature of the reports required.
• The Client User Interface, being the interface that will be used by staff of all calibers is the most important feature and the layout needs to be established early. The DBSU2448 system has standard interfaces, which will generally apply to most industries, but modification has been anticipated and accommodated within the current design. Certain interfaces designed for ground staff with little computer knowledge have “information box” guidance built in as an optional function which the user can switch off when this guidance is no longer required.
• As the system only needs “one source” of information supply per site, store, hotel, etc as a “preferred option” (more cost effective and reduces error through possible overlap) the “hardware” will be supplied by DBSU with fully supported “hardware support” through one “Major Supplier”. Options to update existing “source computers” with the necessary “software” will be addressed as required, but with the “automation” built in to the design of this system, should be quite limited. This reduces your costs and keeps things simple.
• The amount of detail and reporting that the DBSU2448 system handles is extremely large and “extensive testing” has been carried out to ensure that the server can accommodate the critical elements such as speed when reporting and data backup facilities.
• Training and changes to the system will be carried out by DBSU staff who are extremely competent professionals in the specific industry that they are designated to.
• The system has been developed using three different program platforms to make program changes quick and easy, and to produce extreme speed in the computing process.
